The Autobahn GmbH Rhine region has announced that it will be carrying out renovation work at the A1 interchange at Hürth from May 23rd to May 27th, 2025. This work is a part of the previously announced closure and detours.

The closure will take place on May 23rd, 2025, at 9 PM, and will continue until Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at 5 AM. During this period, the A1 interchange at Hürth will be completely closed for approximately 60 hours. The closure will affect traffic in both directions, towards Dortmund and Koblenz.

The press release regarding the closure and renovation work was issued on May 5th, 2025. The roadway at the Hürth interchange is the focus of the renovation work by the Autobahn GmbH Rhine region.

Detours will be available from May 23rd, 2025, at 9 PM. Traffic will be diverted either from the Erftstadt interchange or via the A61 (Autobahn interchange Erfttal/ interchange Gymnich). The detours will be signposted with red dots to ensure easy navigation for drivers.

It is important to note that the renovation work at the Hürth interchange is not related to any advertisements. The Autobahn GmbH Rhine region branch is responsible for the renovation work.

The renovation at the Hürth interchange is scheduled to take place during the closure period. However, the search results do not provide information about the project manager for maintenance at the Hürth expansion between May 23 and May 27.

Despite the inconvenience caused by the closure and detours, the Autobahn GmbH assures that the renovation work at the Hürth interchange is an essential step towards improving the infrastructure of the Autobahn network. Drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the detour signs for a smooth and safe travel experience.
