The World Free Zones Organization (World FZO) has announced that its 12th World Congress will be held in Panama City, Panama, in July 2026. This prestigious event aims to bring together decision-makers, free zone leaders, and investors from over 100 countries and major global economic institutions.
The purpose of the Congress is to provide an internationally recognized platform for expanding international cooperation in the free zones sector and shaping the future development of free zones worldwide. It will also focus on strengthening Panama’s position as a global hub for trade and logistics and increasing its visibility on the international investment map.

- Showcasing Panama’s key economic assets such as the Colón Free Trade Zone and the Panama Canal, which were highlighted during official delegations preparing for the event.
The MoU for the 12th World FZO World Congress was signed by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed AlZarooni, Chairman of the World FZO, and His Excellency Julio Moltó, Minister of Commerce and Industries at the Government of the Republic of Panama. This strategic step highlights Panama's position as a global investment gateway and opens new prospects for regional cooperation, technology, and investment.
The back-to-back hosting of the Congress in both China and then Panama reflects the growing momentum of the World FZO on the international stage.
