The insurance industry gathered in Kassel recently for the 'Zff Slam', an event aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration. Around 120 attendees, including Said Shurafa, the 2024 Young Broker Award winner, came together at the historic Hallenbad Ost to be inspired and network in a relaxed atmosphere.

The event, organized by Zff, featured short, concise presentations with a maximum of 15 minutes speaking time and no more than three slides per speaker. Daniel Dierkes from Surein presented a digital solution, the 'universal mailbox', which connects various systems and automates processes, reducing administrative workload by half.

Rainer Schamberger, known as 'the tradesman broker', emphasized the importance of customer-centric marketing and storytelling in consulting. Simon Moser, CEO of Muffintech, discussed the integration of generative AI in sales and the challenges of poor data quality and isolated systems.

In a panel discussion, experts agreed that strategic planning is crucial in portfolio acquisition to avoid endangering one's own business. The event aimed to move away from the 'elbow society' in the industry and look ahead to future innovations.
