FECON IP Hiep Hoa Industrial Project: A Green and High-Tech Hub in Northern Vietnam

In Bắc Ninh, Vietnam, a significant industrial project is underway, known as the FECON IP Hiep Hoa. With an investment exceeding 1,000 billion VND and a total area of approximately 75 hectares, this project is set to become a flagship in the industrial real estate sector[1].

The project's key focus is on green and high-tech industries, prioritizing sectors such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, precision engineering, and high-tech supporting industries[1][3]. Strategically located near established manufacturers like Samsung, Foxconn, and Goertek, it serves as a crucial support for the regional electronics and high-tech supply chains[1].

The FECON IP Hiep Hoa project is not just an industrial hub; it is a driver of sustainable industrial development in northern Vietnam, attracting environmentally friendly companies and technologies[2][3]. Its location, about 30 km from Nội Bài Airport and near three major expressways, ensures fast logistics and distribution[1].

The project offers a range of benefits, including enhanced supply chain support, improved industrial ecosystem integration, and promotion of green and sustainable industrial development[1][2][3].

The FECON Invest JSC recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the FECON IP Hiep Hoa project[4]. The Hiep Hoa People's Committee aims to focus on the strong development of industry and commercial services, with industrial development as the core to attract businesses to invest in the area[5].

The project includes an integrated administrative area with office spaces and service amenities such as a supermarket, restaurants, banks, and clinics[5]. It is planned with a construction density of 70% and dedicates nearly 100,000 square metres to green spaces and water surfaces[6].

In addition to the FECON IP Hiep Hoa project, six projects are being implemented in Hiep Hoa commune with a total area of 555 ha, while two projects, Dong Lo IC and Dong Lo 1 IC, covering 150 ha, have not yet been implemented[7].

Other developments in the area include the Danh Thang - Doan Bai Industrial Cluster, part of a chain of eight industrial zones in Hiep Hoa commune[8]. KTG Industrial is designing the KTG Industrial VSIP Bac Ninh 2 project with a focus on sustainable growth and ESG guidelines, aiming for LEED Gold certification[9].

The 75-hectare Danh Thang - Doan Bai industrial cluster will offer investors a full suite of project lifecycle support services[9]. Another notable development is Samsung Electronics Vietnam's first rooftop solar project at its factory in Bac Ninh, aligning with the Vietnamese government's net-zero roadmap and marking the beginning of its decarbonisation journey[10].

In conclusion, the FECON IP Hiep Hoa project, along with other developments in Bắc Ninh, is set to establish a green and high-tech industrial ecosystem in the province, fostering sustainable growth and supply chain synergy in the wider northern Vietnam region.
