Indian Startups Raise Record $277M in a Week
Indian startups have witnessed a surge in investments, with a total of $277 million raised last week. Notably, the NBFC sector led the way, while various other sectors also saw significant funding.
CreditWise Capital and Smartworks Coworking Spaces, both from the NBFC sector, raised $23.3 million and $20 million respectively. Meanwhile, Indian startups collectively raised over $277 million, with Jumbotail alone securing $120 million. Other notable fundraisers include Varthana, Khetika, and Arteria Technologies, who together raised about $48.5 million.
In the same week, Shark Tank India-featured startups also saw substantial investments. WiseLife raised $940,000, AMAMA raised $1 million, and Divine Hindu raised $180,000. Additionally, Belong, a NRI-focused fintech startup, raised $5 million, Green Aero, a deeptech startup, raised $1.6 million, and Chai Bisket, a regional digital content startup, raised $5 million. In total, 22 Indian startups raised over $124 million between July 7 and July 12, 2025.
In other news, Incuspaze acquired VSKOUT, and Partners Group is set to acquire a majority stake in Mumbai-based Infinity Fincorp Solution.
The Indian startup ecosystem continues to thrive, with significant investments across various sectors. The NBFC sector, in particular, has shown strong growth, indicating a positive outlook for the industry.
