Indian Electrical Equipment Makers Report Surge in Orders
Several Indian electrical equipment manufacturers are reporting robust order books, indicating a surge in demand driven by infrastructure projects and government focus on energy development.
As of June 2025, companies like GE Vernova T&D India Limited and Skipper Limited have reported their highest-ever order books, worth Rs. 12,960 crore and Rs. 8,520.5 crore respectively. Transformers & Rectifiers India Limited and Quality Power Electrical Equipments Limited also maintain strong order backlogs, exceeding Rs. 5,246 crore and Rs. 775 crore respectively. Notably, CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited has seen a 97% year-over-year increase in its power systems' unexecuted order backlog, now worth Rs. 13,072 crore. Shilchar Technologies Limited has an order pipeline of approximately Rs. 750-800 crore for the next fiscal year.
These companies are well-positioned to benefit from the ongoing infrastructure boom and energy development initiatives. Their strong order books suggest a positive outlook for the sector in the coming months.
