Ready to hit the road and beat that traffic? The newly opened bypass in Prachin Buri has got you covered! This swanky new route, built by the Department of Rural Roads (DRR), is not just aновый путь, but a game-changer for the region.
Ever found yourself stuck in urban traffic congestion in Prachin Buri and wondering if there was a better way to get around? Say goodbye to those headaches! This new 25.65-kilometer bypass now connects Highway 3452 to Ban Sang intersection in Ban Sang district, offering an alternative route for commuters traversing between Ban Sang, Muang, Si Maha Phot, and Prachantakham districts.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Suriya Jungrungreangkit, this new bypass road is all about reducing those pesky traffic bottlenecks in the urban area and making life easier for commuters. It's also a key infrastructure link to drive trade, tourism, and investment, while strengthening the logistics network connected to the Indochina corridor.
Now, let's dive into the details. The project is divided into two sections, with Section I (7.2 km) running from Bang Boriboon to Bang Decha in Muang district. This section features two to four asphalt lanes with reinforced concrete at intersections, seven reinforced concrete bridges, lighting, drainage systems, traffic signals, and safety facilities—all for a grand total of 899.99 million baht.
As for Section II, it extends 18.45 kilometres through Ban Sang district, adding two to four asphalt lanes, five reinforced concrete bridges, and providing full infrastructure for lighting and drainage. The total investment for Section II is 900 million baht. This stretch is opening up new opportunities, especially for the Bang Tan Royal Development Project, an integrated agricultural learning centre in Ban Sang district, making it more accessible than ever.
This bypass isn't just a traffic-busting marvel, it's also supporting the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) initiative, contributing to regional competitiveness and encouraging the transport of industrial and agricultural products towards Cambodia and the broader Indochina region. So buckle up and enjoy the ride, as this bypass is more than just a shortcut—it's a strategic move towards a more connected and dynamic future for Prachin Buri!
