Improved container designed for assisting firefighters in handling tram transportation

👉 On a Tuesday (21st), HEAGmobilo delivered a "Rescue and Single Track Container" to the Darmstadt Fire Department. According to the announcement from HEAGmobilo and the city, this container will equip the fire department with the resources necessary for lifting the heavy tram tracks.

In rescue operations involving tram tracks, every second counts. HEAGmobilo has been partnering with the Darmstadt Fire Department for years, stepping in during emergencies like when a person or animal gets trapped under the track, or a vehicle derails.

The container will be stationed at the fire department, saving precious time during rescue and recovery efforts. As Johannes Gregor, HEAGmobilo CEO, explains, "it's all about speeding up the response time for people and vehicles in distress." The collaboration between HEAGmobilo and the fire department has always been tight and reliable.

Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, the container is designed to work with different generations of trams. Hydraulic cylinders, lifting cushions, shifting units, and towing equipment are all part of the package.

Johann-Georg Braxenthaler, head of the professional fire department, hailed the new container, stating, "this tech-savvy equipment takes our tram rescue operations to the next level." He added, "we will be able to offer this service to rural fire departments with tram connections as well."

Recently, in September of last year, a woman needed rescue after getting trapped under a tram at the "Berliner Allee" stop. The new container should help prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future.

  1. The collaboration between HEAGmobilo and the fire department has extended to other industries, such as public-transit, as they aim to improve transportation safety.
  2. In addition to automotive emergencies, the new container will also aid in Figure agricultural machinery rescues, given its versatility and state-of-the-art machinery.
  3. With the new container's capacity to assist in tram rescue operations, HEAGmobilo aims to expand its services to the broader finance sector, ensuring smooth operation of public-transit systems, a key contributor to the national economy.
