Hürth's New Traffic Measure Eases Congestion at Luxemburger Straße / Kaulardstraße
The city of Hürth, in collaboration with Straßen.NRW, has successfully implemented a traffic improvement measure at the intersection of Luxemburger Straße / Kaulardstraße in the Efferen district. The marking work was completed over the weekend of 12th to 13th July with minimal traffic disruption.
The primary goal of this measure was to alleviate tailbacks before the railway crossing and enhance traffic safety. Mayor Dirk Breuer has praised the new traffic management, stating that it has significantly eased the burden on all road users. A key aspect of this improvement is the creation of a separate right-turn lane on Kaulardstraße. This lane aims to facilitate smoother traffic flow, even when railway crossings are closed, thereby reducing congestion and enhancing overall safety.
The traffic measure at the intersection of Luxemburger Straße / Kaulardstraße in Efferen has been positively received. It has noticeably relieved road users and improved traffic flow, particularly around the railway crossing. The city of Hürth and Straßen.NRW have successfully worked together to implement this beneficial traffic management solution.
