Halle (Saale) has transformed the lighting at Riebeckplatz-Rondell and nearby underpasses, following residents' requests. The city invested around €40,000 in the project, installing 18 new, energy-efficient LED lights.
The Stadtwerke Halle Group, through its subsidiary HalleNet KG, led the renewal project in collaboration with EVH Netz GmbH. The old system was decommissioned due to persistent vandalism damage. The new lights have notably enhanced the area's illumination, providing a safer and more inviting environment for locals and visitors alike.
The switch to LED technology brings sustainability and flexibility to the lighting system. It not only reduces energy consumption but also allows for easier maintenance and potential future upgrades.
