Göttingen's Collaborative Energy Project Wins €15,000 for Renewable Transition
A collaborative project in Göttingen, involving the city, district, EAM Natur Energie, and city works, has been awarded €15,000. The goal is to transition the region's energy supply to renewable sources, marking a significant step towards climate protection.
The 'Energy Region Göttingen' project, led by Energy Region Göttingen GmbH (ERG), aims to shape the regional energy supply with municipal partners and citizens. The project has been recognised for its inter-municipal cooperation, public participation, and economic advantages, earning it a prize for exemplary climate protection from the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony.
ERG plans to jointly plan and coordinate larger photovoltaic systems and wind farms in the region. The city administration provides updates via Telegram and Notify, and offers Verwalti, a digital guide for simple questions.
