Ghana's New Ambassador to Brazil Urges Unity and Lawfulness
Ghana's Ambassador to Brazil, Nii Amasah Namoale, has begun his diplomatic duties in Sao Paulo. In his first official engagement with Ghanaians, he stressed the importance of law-abiding residence and positive representation of Ghana. The ambassador's visit comes as the Ghanaian diaspora, recognized as the 17th Region of Ghana, gains a dedicated engagement policy.
Namoale, sent to Brazil in October 2025, reassured Ghanaians of his commitment to President Mahama's 'Reset Agenda'. He urged them to uphold Ghanaian values and respect Brazilian laws. The ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and praised their contributions to Ghana's image.
He announced the Embassy's biodata registration exercise to keep accurate records of Ghanaians living in Brazil. Namoale also conveyed greetings from President Mahama, acknowledging the diaspora's support.
Ambassador Namoale's visit signals a new era of engagement between Ghana and its diaspora in Brazil. His call for unity and respect for laws sets the tone for stronger ties. The biodata registration exercise will help the Embassy better serve and represent the Ghanaian community in Brazil.
