Germany Immigration Crackdown Nets 20 Illegal Workers, Including Notorious Attack Suspect

A major immigration crackdown in Germany has led to the discovery of 20 suspected illegal workers at a construction site in Nesselwang. Officials from the Main Customs Office Augsburg, border police in Pfronten, and police in Kempten conducted a joint inspection. Among the 21 people present, 20 were suspected of residing illegally in Germany. They were unable to produce valid work permits. The workers hailed from various countries, with 14 holding Ukrainian passports, three from Belarus, two from Uzbekistan, and one claiming to be from Tajikistan. The suspect who claimed Tajikistani nationality, Muhammadsobir Faizow, has since been identified as one of the four main accused in the 2010 Crocus City Hall attack case in Russia. Faizow and his accomplices confessed and apologized to the victims during a military court hearing in Moscow. Investigations have been launched against four employers suspected of smuggling foreigners and against the workers for suspected illegal residence. The workers have been ordered to leave the country. The crackdown highlights Germany's ongoing efforts to combat illegal immigration and human trafficking. Further details and potential charges are yet to be announced.
