🎉 The Meissen Cathedral is all set for a fresh, grand upgrade! 🎹 In the pipeline for 2027 is a stunning new organ, and the estimated cost? A cool three million euros. You guessed it – fundraising activities are now in high gear for this "century project"!
Today, we kick-started the fundraising with a generous donation of 1,000 euros, courtesty of Meissen's Mayor, Olaf Raschke. He proudly handed over the check to Domkantor Thorsten Goebel and Dompfarrer Andreas Beuchel.
As we march towards the 1,100 years of Meissen anniversary in 2029, the renowned organ building firms of Dresden – Jehmlich – and the Eifel-based organ builders, Weimbs, will join forces to bring this dream to life.
