Former Deputy Energy Secretary Dave Turk Joins Hewlett Foundation
Dave Turk, previously serving as Deputy Energy Secretary under the Biden administration, is set to join the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. He will take over as director of the foundation's environmental program starting December 1, 2023.
Turk succeeds Jonathan Pershing in this role. Pershing led the program from 2008 to 2017, then returned briefly in 2022 after working with John Kerry on international climate negotiations. Turk, who took over the program in 2018 following Pershing's departure, aims to build upon Pershing's legacy.
Dave Turk's appointment is expected to bring valuable experience and continuity to the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation's environmental program.
