Florida Bar Business Law Section recognizes Gregory C. Yadley with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
In a significant recognition of his longstanding contributions to the legal profession, Gregory C. Yadley, a partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, has been awarded the Michael G. Williamson Lifetime Achievement Award by the Florida Bar's Business Law Section (BLS).
The prestigious award, named after Judge Michael G. Williamson, a visionary leader and a close friend of Greg, honours individuals whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the legal profession and the BLS. This marks the second time the award has been presented.
Greg, who has a legal career spanning more than 40 years, has been notably recognised for his dedication to mentorship and professional development. He served as the Chair of the BLS and its Corporations, Securities and Financial Institutions Committee, and his leadership has played a vital role in shaping the Section's strategic vision and growth.
In addition to his work with the BLS, Greg has made significant contributions in the field of securities law. He is particularly well known for his work as a principal author of The Florida Bar Corporate Practice Manual. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and currently chairs the annual Federal Securities Institute, a nationally respected program.
Greg has advised clients across a wide range of industries and organizational structures. His service extends beyond the legal sphere, including being a member of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee.
