FKS Raid in Kempten Nets 10 Illegally Working Bosnian Nationals
On Tuesday, officials from the Financial Control of Illegal Work (FKS) in Kempten conducted a surprise inspection at a local construction site. The raid uncovered ten Bosnian-Herzegovinian nationals working illegally, leading to the confiscation of their residence permits and passports. Press inquiries regarding this matter should be directed to Verena Kopolt at the Generalzolldirektion, reachable at 0228 303-11608 or [email protected].
The FKS officials, numbering thirteen, visited the construction site in Kempten, where they discovered ten individuals from Bosnia and Herzegovina. An investigation revealed that these workers were residing illegally, as their residence permits did not authorise gainful employment. Some of the permits had expired or were issued by Slovenia, further complicating their status.
The FKS team seized the workers' residence permits and passports, which were then handed over to the Kempten immigration authority. Following the inspection, investigative proceedings were initiated to determine the full extent of the illegal residence and any potential labour law violations.
The FKS inspection in Kempten highlights the ongoing efforts to combat illegal work and residence in Germany. Ten individuals were found to be working without proper authorisation, and further investigations are underway. The Kempten immigration authority will now process the seized documents and handle the case accordingly.
