FCB International's CEO, Luis Silva Dias, Announces Departure

In a significant turn of events at FCB International, the company's CEO, Luis Silva Dias, has announced his resignation, effective immediately. This news follows the departure of Carter Murray, the global chief executive of FCB, in February, leaving the CEO position at FCB International vacant for the past eight months.

Silva Dias, a veteran of FCB, joined the company in 2000 and rose through the ranks, holding multiple leadership positions. His career at FCB included roles in both Portugal and FCB International, with stints as president, CEO, and Chief Creative Officer. In 2005, he became the president and chief executive of FCB Portugal, and in 2008, he was appointed as the executive creative director for the region. Silva Dias moved to FCB International as the Chief Creative Officer in 2014, and in October 2018, he was appointed as the CEO of FCB International with the objective of overseeing the growth of FCB operations.

During his tenure, Silva Dias managed FCB operations in 62 different countries, spanning across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. His role involved overseeing the growth and output of FCB operations across these markets, a responsibility he undertook with great success. In 2018, he was also made the chief creative officer for the region.

The departure of Silva Dias leaves a notable gap in the leadership of FCB International. However, the company has already taken steps to address this. Tyler Turnbull, the current Global CEO of FCB, will continue to hold his position, working closely with Emma Armstrong, who is the CEO of FCB New York and has recently taken on the additional role of Global Transformation Officer. Armstrong's new role expands her influence beyond New York to the entire global network, partnering with Turnbull to lead growth and transformation strategies across FCB worldwide.

Armstrong, who plays a key global leadership role focused on transformation and innovation, will continue as CEO of FCB New York in parallel with her global transformation responsibilities. This strategic move ensures continuity and momentum in FCB's global operations.
