Facial recognition and document management systems unveiled by IdriveAI and BlackBerry IVY at CES 2023
IdriveAI, a global leader in Video Telematics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based services for the transportation industry, is partnering with BlackBerry Limited to infuse AI into vehicles running on the QNX operating system. This collaboration, showcased at CES 2024 in BlackBerry's booth #4224, is a significant step towards achieving IdriveAI's mission to make roads safer and save lives.
IdriveAI's technology is a key component in this collaboration, aiming to create a unique in-cab, end user experience with unmatched power and integration. The technology watches the driver's behavior for head orientation, eyelid closure frequency, and cellphone use, alerting in potentially dangerous situations. It also provides personalization of in-vehicle systems based on identified drivers, including positioning, mirrors, steering wheel, and custom infotainment settings.
Moreover, IdriveAI's technology includes Driver Identification using Facial Recognition and analyzes Distracted and Drowsy Driving in real-time. When used in conjunction with a synthetic sensor, it can provide vital insights for a vehicle dedicated safety software. Idrive engineers, designs, and manufactures all products and technology in-house, backed by over 15 years of experience in Automotive Electronics, Video, Object Recognition, and AI.
The technology's capabilities are enhanced by over 11 billion miles of driving data, deep learning, and industry insights. Idrive's intelligent systems have already saved hundreds of lives by preventing collisions through improved driving behavior, a testament to its mission.
Calin Mihalascu, IdriveAI's Chief Revenue Officer, stated that this cooperation fulfills an essential part of the company's mission. He further added that Idrive's technology allows for warnings and safety decisions like automated braking and speed limitation based on the driver's attention status for state-of-the-art automotive safety standards.
IdriveAI also has ongoing programs with BlackBerry to provide synthetic sensors to other IVY collaborators. This collaboration between IdriveAI and BlackBerry is a testament to their shared commitment to road safety and innovation in the automotive industry.
Visitors to CES 2024 are invited to witness these advancements in vehicle safety firsthand at BlackBerry's booth #4224. Idrive's technology, combined with BlackBerry's expertise in security and software development, promises a safer and more personalized driving experience for the future.
