The Bank of Baroda has announced the Local Bank Officer (LBO) Exam 2025, scheduled for September 6, 2025. The exam will be conducted under Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMG/S-I) and is designed to evaluate candidates' English language skills, banking knowledge, general/economic awareness, and reasoning ability & quantitative aptitude.
Selection Process for LBO Exam 2025

- Online Examination: This is the first phase, evaluating candidates' knowledge and aptitude in specific areas. The exam consists of four sections: English Language, Banking Knowledge, General/Economic Awareness, and Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude. Each section has 30 questions, totaling 120 questions for 120 marks, with a time limit of 30 minutes per section.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): This stage assesses a candidate's ability to read, write, and speak the local language of the applied state.
- Psychometric Test: This evaluates a candidate's personality, behavior, and suitability for a banking role, aligning their traits with Bank of Baroda's core values.
- Group Discussion (GD) and Interview: The final stage involves either a Group Discussion or an Interview. Candidates are evaluated on their communication skills, leadership qualities, teamwork, and ability to present ideas clearly and confidently. A minimum of 60% is required for General candidates and 55% for Reserved candidates to qualify.
Syllabus for LBO Exam 2025
The syllabus for the LBO Exam 2025 covers four key sections:
- English Language: Tests reading comprehension, vocabulary, syntax, and writing skills. The section is in English and contains 30 questions to be completed in 30 minutes.
- Banking Knowledge: Includes questions on banking concepts, financial systems, monetary policies, and banking regulations. The test is bilingual (English and Hindi).
