Ex-Disco Owner Fined €6,000 for Social Security Violations in Regensburg
A former disco owner in Regensburg has been fined €6,000 for social security violations. The case was investigated by the Financial Control Black Work (FKS) of the Regensburg Customs Office, following an anonymous tip. The disco had been operating without proper registration, leading to unpaid social security contributions.
The disco's employees were only registered for social security in January 2023, retroactively from November 2022. This delay resulted in unpaid social security contributions amounting to €8,546. The fine imposed on the former owner, Uwe Bender, totals 100 daily rates of €60 each. Alongside the fine, Bender must also pay the outstanding social security contributions.
Gerhard Pylipp, head of the FKS, warned employers about the severe consequences of black work violations. This is not the first time Bender has faced such penalties. In 2019, he was fined €6,000 for similar offenses, totaling €100,000 in unpaid social security contributions.
The Regensburg Customs Office urges employers to ensure proper registration and payment of social security contributions to avoid hefty fines. The disco's former owner, Uwe Bender, has been penalized €6,000 for his latest violation, with additional penalties for outstanding contributions. Employers can contact the Regensburg Customs Office for further information.
