The Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft (DVG) has announced that it will commence track construction works on Ruhrorter Straße in Duisburg-Kaßlerfeld starting from Thursday, 25th September. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
In the first phase of the project, one direction of traffic will be closed between Albertstraße and Auf der Höhe / Kaßlerfelder Straße. Initially, the route will be closed in the direction of Kaßlerfelder Kreisel. A mobile traffic light system will regulate traffic at the intersection of Ruhrdeich and Max-Peters-Straße to ensure smooth flow of vehicles.
During this period, pedestrians and cyclists can still pass through the area. However, motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly as a detour will be signposted via Auf der Höhe, Schifferstraße, Max-Peters-Straße, and Ruhrdeich.
In the second phase of the project, the opposite direction will be closed from Albertstraße. Another detour will be signposted via the same streets (Auf der Höhe, Schifferstraße, Max-Peters-Straße, and Ruhrdeich) during this phase. The project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
The DVG encourages motorists to check the latest traffic updates and plan their journeys accordingly. The organisation aims to minimise disruptions and complete the project within the scheduled timeframe. Stay informed and safe during the construction works on Ruhrorter Straße.
