Enhanced welfare benefits for Belarusian citizens will commence from August 1st.

Belarus has announced changes to its social benefits for families and multiple births, effective August 1, 2025. The updates are linked to the country's minimum subsistence level budget.

The government recognizes large families with multiple children as a significant social group, with about 33% of families having two children and over 9% having three or more children. To support these families, the benefits are designed to improve family welfare by providing a floor for financial support tailored to family size and needs.

For families with multiple children, the allowance for the first child will be Br931.91, an increase of Br70.49, which is 35% of the average monthly wage for the II quarter of 2025. The allowance for the second and subsequent children will be 40%, increasing to Br1065.04.

If a family already has a child (children), the total benefits for twins are Br14,800 and for triplets are Br22,200. A one-time payment of Br925.16 is provided for each child. For a child with disabilities, the allowance will be 45%, increasing to Br1198.17. If a child with disabilities is born as part of twins or triplets, the allowance will still be 45%, increasing to Br1198.17 for each child with disabilities.

Starting August 1, these benefits will also increase due to the planned increase in the minimum subsistence level. The increase in social benefits is based on the average monthly wage of workers in Belarus for the II quarter of 2025, which was Br2717.8 in June.

No specific information was provided about changes in benefits for families with twins or triplets where one or more of the children have disabilities. For detailed formulas and exact figures, it is recommended to consult official Belarus government or Ministry of Labour and Social Protection releases around that date.

The social benefits in Belarus will continue to increase on a planned basis, tied to the budget of the minimum subsistence level. This move is part of the government's efforts to support large families and improve the financial stability of families with multiple children.

To bolster the financial stability of large families with multiple children, the government of Belarus will enhance business and personal-finance support by increasing social benefits effective August 1, 2025. These augmented benefits, linked to the country's minimum subsistence level budget, aim to improve overall family welfare, offering a customized financial foundation based on family size and individual needs.
