Energy company Loop Energy and MYNT have agreed to supply and distribute Loop's hydrogen fuel cell systems in Australia.
Loop Energy, a leading designer and manufacturer of fuel cell systems for commercial vehicles, has announced a strategic partnership with MYNT First Element. This partnership aims to revolutionize the hydrogen power generation market in Australia, with a focus on providing clean energy alternatives to diesel generators for mining, industrial, and construction clients.
Under the terms of the agreement, Loop Energy's proprietary eFlow technology will be integrated into MYNT's Purple H2 generators. This technology, featured in the company's fuel cell stack's bipolar plates, is designed to enable commercial customers to achieve performance maximization and cost minimization.
MYNT First Element, with its solutions-focused approach, uses a quantifiable value and carbon reduction strategy. The company's system level knowledge and integration expertise, according to George Rubin, Loop Energy's Chief Commercial Officer, is second to none.
The partnership was formalized after a successful market introduction of the Purple H2 product line in the first quarter of 2023. MYNT has further appointed Loop Energy as an exclusive value-added distribution partner for the Australian market.
With the first units of the generators already in production, MYNT expects customer demand to significantly increase over the next two years in the Australian market. To cater to this growing demand, MYNT is planning 3 trials in the second half of 2023 in Queensland and New South Wales.
In addition to this partnership, MYNT aims to extend its knowledge and experience to other Australian Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) during their transition to hydrogen electric products. The company's mission is to be the renewable energy partner of choice for Construction, Mining, Industrial, and Equipment Rental Companies during the transition to a net-zero future.
MYNT First Element's renewable products are designed to be interchangeable with various clean energy fuel inputs, including solar, wind, biodiesel, and hydrogen. This future-proofing approach ensures that end uses are prepared for a diverse energy landscape as the world moves towards a net-zero future.
The supply and distribution agreement between Loop Energy and MYNT, announced on May 1, 2023, covers the Australian market. Gary Radford, MYNT First Element's Managing Director, stated that Loop Energy's team culture and proprietary technology have added significant value to MYNT's supply chain capability and ability to deliver customer outcomes in the hydrogen space.
Loop Energy works with OEMs and major vehicle sub-system suppliers to enable the production of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles. The company's advanced eFlowTM technology delivers up to a 16% fuel efficiency advantage; 90% more peak power; and, up to a 10 times improvement in current density uniformity over comparable products currently available in the market.
This strategic partnership between Loop Energy and MYNT First Element is set to redefine the hydrogen power generation landscape in Australia, offering clean, efficient, and cost-effective solutions for commercial customers.
