Starting June 1, several new laws will take effect in the country, impacting diverse aspects of daily life, including improving the fight against cybercrime, enhancing product quality, and providing support for Special Military Operational (SVO) participants.

THE END OF CODES FROM GOUSUSLUGI

Enterprises will be prohibited from sending information through foreign messengers. This new measure aims to curtail communication between citizens and scammers commonly utilizing WhatsApp or Telegram. Scammers will also be unable to send access codes to "Gosuslugi" while the user is on the phone, providing a moment for the recipient to recognize the fraudulent activity. A statement to lift a loan ban can only be submitted through the "Gosuslugi" portal using an enhanced qualified electronic signature, protecting individuals from fraudsters requesting immediate loan approvals.

PROTECTION AGAINST POOR-QUALITY PRODUCTS

Beginning June 27, conducting business activities without prior notification will be considered a serious violation. This is intended to prevent manufacturers from evading inspections of their products and working conditions, thereby ensuring the identification and removal of low-quality and counterfeit goods.

Lawmakers anticipate that this measure will preserve the health and lives of citizens.

SUPPORT FOR SVO PARTICIPANTS

Additional benefits have been introduced for the children of SVO participants. They now have the privilege to enter bachelor's and specialist programs through a special quota. Moreover, those whose fathers have died or been injured in service can enter without taking entrance exams.

Returning veterans can utilize the bankruptcy procedure without going to court, as long as the debt does not exceed 1 million rubles, there is no property for seizure, and the enforcement document is within one year old. In such cases, merely submitting an application at an MFC is sufficient.

SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

To assist honest small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting measures have been implemented from June 1. This includes the simplification of procedures for SME inclusion in the Unified Register, making it easier for businesses to receive state aid. There is also special aid for businesses in monogorods and special economic zones.

Although the news mentions a change in procedures for SMEs in a "Unified Register," no specific details regarding these changes or a June 1, 2025, effective date have been found in available sources. It's critical to clarify the country or register in question for a more accurate assessment.
