The NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator 2025 is an exciting initiative launched by NBA Africa, ALX Ventures, and ServiceNow. This startup accelerator program is designed to support early-stage African startups innovating in the sports and creative sectors with tech-enabled solutions. The program aims to equip these startups with mentorship, coaching, investor access, and growth opportunities through a 10-week capacity-building program.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator 2025, startups must meet the following requirements:
- Headquartered in Africa
- Less than 2 years old
- Operating within the sports or creative industries
- Have a tech-enabled solution with clear market potential
- Possess a proof-of-concept prototype demonstrating potential for profit, inclusivity, and scalability
- Have at least two co-founders working full-time (40+ hours/week)
- Preferably registered as a company

Application Process
Interested startups can apply via the official NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator portal until August 29, 2025. The application requires sharing the startup’s story, traction, business model, impact, pitch deck, and a demo if available. After submission, a shortlist of 10 startups will be selected for the mentorship program, which ends in December with Demo Day, where startups pitch to a panel of industry leaders and 5 prize winners are selected.
The NBA Africa Triple-Double Accelerator 2025 targets startups that are headquartered in Africa, less than two years old, and operating within the sports or creative industries. Applications from startups that are marketplaces, late-stage with significant capital raised, non-tech enabled, without functional prototypes, or have participated in more than two similar programs in the past 12 months will not be considered.
This accelerator is run in partnership with ALX Ventures (technology incubator) and ServiceNow (AI platform) to foster Africa’s tech ecosystem within the sports and creative sectors.
