Edelman Germany appoints Giese as its new CEO
Edelman Announces Leadership Changes in Germany and APAC Regions
In a recent announcement, global communications firm Edelman has revealed significant changes in its leadership structure, with Nils Giese and Christiane Schulz taking on new roles effective from April 1.
Nils Giese, who previously served as Managing Director Healthcare and Regional Healthcare Marketing Lead EMEA at Edelman, will be stepping into the position of CEO for Edelman Germany. Giese's career with the company began in July 2021, and prior to joining Edelman, he held various positions at the international advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi in Düsseldorf. Most recently, Giese served as Executive Director Strategy at Saatchi & Saatchi.
Giese's new role as CEO of Edelman Germany will be overseen by Arent Jan (AJ) Hesselink, President and CEO of Edelman EMEA. Hesselink will provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition.
Meanwhile, Christiane Schulz, who was the CEO of Edelman Germany before her new role, will be moving to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region as the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO). Schulz has previously served as CEO of Edelman Germany and has made significant contributions to the company's growth and success in the region. She will be starting her new role on April 1.
Edelman Germany, headquartered in Frankfurt, has seen a change in its leadership as well, with Nils Giese taking over from Frank Wacker. Wacker, who was the previous CEO, has now taken on the new role of Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for Edelman Germany.
These changes are expected to strengthen Edelman's presence in both the German and APAC markets, and the company looks forward to continued growth and success under the leadership of Giese and Schulz.
The leadership changes announced by Edelman will see Nils Giese, previously the Managing Director Healthcare and Regional Healthcare Marketing Lead EMEA at Edelman, take on the role of CEO for Edelman Germany, overseeing the company's business in finance and various careers. Meanwhile, Christiane Schulz, who was the CEO of Edelman Germany, will shift her focus to the APAC region, where she will serve as the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO), continuing to impact the company's business growth and careers.
