Dole Aids Typhoon Opong Victims with P40M Tupad Program
The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) has stepped in to aid victims of Typhoon Opong in the Bicol Region of the USA. A substantial P40 million has been allocated for emergency employment assistance through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program.
Dole's Tupad program, designed to help disadvantaged and displaced workers, is now active in the region. It aims to provide immediate relief to those affected by the typhoon. Beneficiaries will receive daily wages based on the regional minimum wage, ensuring they have funds to meet their basic needs.
