District Rehabilitation in Wörth from July 28th
In the eastern Landkreis Landshut, a significant traffic junction is set for a major overhaul. The roundabout, which serves as a crucial traffic hub, connecting two industrial areas and a feeder road to the A92 motorway, will be fully closed to public traffic from July 28 to approximately September 19, 2025.
The roundabout, located at the intersection of Siemensstraße and county road LA10, last underwent renovation in 2009. However, due to deformations and cracks in the asphalt surface, a full renovation in concrete construction is now planned. The responsible authority or company for the renovation is yet to be specified.
The renovation, costing approximately 1.5 million euros, is intended to increase the longevity of the roundabout facility. Construction commenced on July 21, 2025, and will consist of two phases. The first phase, scheduled to end on September 19, 2025, will focus on the renovation of the roundabout (excluding the bypass).
During this phase, the roundabout and the nearby commuter parking lot will be closed to the public. Detours will be signposted to ensure smooth traffic flow. After the completion of the first phase, the commuter parking lot will be connected to the roundabout via Siemensstraße.
Following a brief interim period, the second construction phase will commence on September 22, 2025. This phase will focus on renovating the bypass. During this phase, traffic can be rerouted through the already renovated roundabout without further closure. The second phase will end on October 24, 2025.
The renovation of the roundabout in Wörth aims to not only improve the safety and efficiency of the traffic junction but also to minimise future renovations. The project is expected to significantly benefit the local commuters and businesses in the area.
