Construction of railway infrastructure in Leibnizplatz, Bremen scheduled for weekend from 27 September, involving detour of tram lines 4 and N4

Disruption of Tram Lines 4 and N4 scheduled during power works weekender in Leibnizplatz, Bremen, commencing 27th September.

The city of Bremen is set to experience some changes in its public transportation system over the coming weeks. Here's a breakdown of the upcoming disruptions and reroutes due to construction and the Power Weekend event.

Construction Updates

From September 23rd to October 13th, the Buntentorsteinweg will be closed towards the city center from the Osterstraße. During this period, trams will not be operating along this stretch. Additionally, the Friedrich-Ebert-Straße will also be closed towards the city center from the Neustadtscontrescarpe street.

However, the Rotes-Kreuz-Krankenhaus will remain accessible via a short, signposted detour during the construction period. Turning left into the Buntentorsteinweg when exiting the city on the Friedrich-Ebert-Straße will not be possible during this time.

The Theater am Leibnizplatz Theater junction will undergo railway track renewal during the same period, causing the section between the Theater am Leibnizplatz and Arsten stops to be closed to trams.

Power Weekend Disruptions

From September 27th to 30th, Bremen will host the Power Weekend. During this event, tram lines 4 and N4 will be rerouted, and a replacement bus service with line 4E will be established.

The route of lines 4 and N4 during the Power Weekend will be from Lilienthal/Borgfeld to the Theater am Leibnizplatz, then via Gastfeldstraße to the BSAG Center at the Airport Damm, and back to Lilienthal/Borgfeld.

The transfer between trams and the replacement service will be at the Gastfeldstraße stop (platforms C and D) during the Power Weekend. The Sielhof, Klinikum Links der Weser, Twiedelftsweg, and Arsten stops will be skipped in both directions during this period.

In the direction of Heukämpendamm, the replacement buses will run from the Pappelstraße stop via Delmestraße, Gastfeldstraße (platform D), Rotes-Kreuz-Krankenhaus, Schwankhalle, Kirchweg (temporary roadside stop), Willigstraße, Stenumer Straße, Huckelriede, Arsterdamm, Robert-Koch-Straße, Anna-Stiegler-Straße, Kattenturm-Mitte, Agnes-Heineken-Straße, Bruchhauser Straße, Brenningstraße, Martin-Buber-Straße, and Heukämpendamm.

In the opposite direction, the buses will run from Heukämpendamm via Martin-Buber-Straße, Bruchhauser Straße, Agnes-Heineken-Straße, Kattenturm-Mitte, Anna-Stiegler-Straße, Robert-Koch-Straße, Huckelriede, Stenumer Straße, Willigstraße, Kirchweg (roadside stop), Rotes-Kreuz-Krankenhaus, Gastfeldstraße (platform C), Delmestraße, and Pappelstraße.

It's important to note that no detailed route or schedule information for line 4E replacement bus for the Bremen Power Weekend was found in the search results. For official transit information, consult Bremen Public Transport (BSAG) or local announcements closer to the event.

Trams will operate as usual outside of the Power Weekend (September 23rd to September 27th and October 13th). Continuous work will be carried out from 9 PM on Friday to Monday morning at 3 AM during the Power Weekend, and trams will not be operating during these hours.

Stay informed and plan your travels accordingly to ensure a smooth journey during these disruptions. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, visit the BSAG website or contact local transit authorities directly.

The construction in Bremen's transportation system from September 23rd to October 13th will affect not only the public transportation system but also the industry and finance sectors, as businesses in the city center might face temporary disruptions.

During the Power Weekend event from September 27th to 30th, disruptions in the finance sector could occur due to potential changes in trade activities associated with the limited operation of tram lines 4 and N4 and the establishment of the replacement bus service, line 4E.
