Construction of the L 258 road between Sulzbach and Fischbach-Camphausen starting from July 28, 2025.
The State Road Authority (LfS) has announced that it will be carrying out roadworks on L 258 in Sulzbach from July 28 to August 8, 2025. The project aims to repair a section of approximately 1.6 kilometers on the L 258, lasting for approximately 12 days.
During this period, road users can expect partial or full road closures, depending on the work phase. Traffic management measures such as temporary traffic lights, reduced speed limits, and possible stop-and-go controls will be in place to ensure safety and facilitate the construction.
Detour routes will be signposted to guide drivers around the construction zone. Alternative routes include the L 126, L 127, L 247, and L 280. A detour via the town center of Sulzbach will also be set up from the A 623 motorway (Sulzbach exit).
The roadworks will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1, from July 28 to August 1, 2025, will affect the section from the TÜV testing center in Sulzbach to the junction with the L 247 "Neunkircher Straße". Phase 2, from August 4 to 8, 2025, will affect the section from the junction with the L 247 "Neunkircher Straße" to the L 255 "Dudweiler Straße".
Road users are advised to plan for potential delays when traveling through Sulzbach, follow all posted detour and traffic management signs, and consider using alternate routes or modes of transportation if possible during the work period. Staying updated via local traffic advisories or municipal announcements is also recommended.
