Bypassing Achinsk, the largest city in western Krasnoyarsk Krai, is on the horizon, with plans to complete the project by 2030, as per the Russian Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor).

These new bypass routes will reduce transport pressure on local and city roads, while furthering the economic development of the regions and boosting domestic tourism. Over the next six years, at least 50 such bypasses are envisioned, as stated in a Rosavtodor statement on social media. Thirty-one of these will be handled by Rosavtodor, five by the GK "Avtotor," and fourteen by the regions themselves.

The initial announcement of the Achinsk bypass came five years ago from Uprad "Enisei," stating that the new road would alleviate traffic jams on the western stretch of the federal highway. The project's documentation was being developed in the 2010s. While it will undoubtedly need some updates, specific details about this significant project are scant as federal authorities have only announced the start of construction.

Stay tuned for more updates: official completion dates have yet to be confirmed, so it's best to consult the regional authorities or Rosavtodor’s Siberian branch for the latest news. 🚧🔍
