Completion stage for newly built circular manufacturing facilities
The final phase of construction work at the Schleifmühle roundabout in Siegen is underway, with the project set to reach completion by the end of September.
During the final phase, traffic will be diverted to ensure a smooth flow and maintain safety. This will involve the temporary closure of certain lanes or access points at the roundabout, the redirection of through-traffic to alternative routes around the construction area, and the use of clearly marked detour signs to guide drivers along these alternate paths. The city will prioritise local traffic access while minimising congestion on main routes.
For precise and updated details, including exact detour routes, duration, and affected directions, it is best to consult official Siegen city or local traffic authority announcements closer to mid-September. They typically provide detailed maps and instructions ahead of the final construction phase.
Meanwhile, the entrance area to the Fludersbach is projected to be closed for approximately three days starting mid-next week. Those coming from Kaan-Marienborn and heading towards Fludersbach will be rerouted via the new bypass at the VEB building towards Lindenberg. In the opposite direction, the detour will run via the temporarily opened Frankfurter Straße over Lindenberg and the Wetzlarer Straße.
The last asphalt work will commence around the roundabout and the Fludersbach, starting on Monday. After these asphalt works, only minor finishing touches remain. The city anticipates meeting the planned opening date for the roundabout at the end of September.
With the final phase of construction work in sight, commuters are advised to stay updated on the latest traffic information to ensure a smooth journey through Siegen.
Finance and transportation industries will experience some changes due to the final phase of construction work at the Schleifmühle roundabout. Navigating through the city will require drivers to follow detours, as certain lanes or access points will be temporarily closed to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety.
