The Schönefeld region in the Berlin area is set for further economic growth, as logistics developer P3 plans to build a large logistics park, the "P3 Berlin Airport Park." Scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, the park will be situated on a 166,000 square meter site, approximately 5 kilometers from Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

The site offers direct access to the regional and national road network via the A10 and A13 highways, making it an ideal location for logistics operations. The project will include 79,722 square meters of logistics space, 3,456 square meters of office space, and 6,078 square meters of mezzanine space.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the facility designed to meet the highest technical standards. It will feature a hall height of 12 meters, a floor load capacity of seven tons per square meter, and 80 loading docks and eight ground-level doors. The park will also provide 690 car parking spaces and 80 truck parking spaces for traffic connections and logistics processes.

Approximately 89,550 square meters of the site will be used for rental space, with the flexible design of the spaces allowing for different business sizes. The plan is to divide the site into up to eight units for flexible use by various tenants.

The proximity to Berlin provides access to one of Germany's largest consumer markets, and the project aims to attract companies that handle both national and international cargo flows. The mix of commerce, hotels, and infrastructure in Schönefeld will help establish it as a multifunctional location in the long term.

In addition to the logistics center, Schönefeld is also seeing development in hospitality. New accommodation capacities, such as the recently opened "Holiday Inn - the niu Pax" and the planned "Candlewood Suites," are being created to cater to the growing demand.

The airport region is not only growing as a logistics hub but also as a location for services, hospitality, and residential spaces. The economic significance of the Schönefeld region is expected to be further strengthened by these developments, making it an attractive destination for businesses and investors alike.
