Chef Pepe Barajas Expands Chicago Culinary Empire with Third Restaurant in Pilsen

Celebrated chef Pepe Barajas is set to expand his culinary empire with a third restaurant in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. The accomplished restaurateur, known for his family-inspired recipes, has already made a mark on the city with his popular eateries, La Josie and Solazo.

Barajas' journey began at the age of 7, helping out at his grandfather's taco stand in Mexico. His passion for the industry led him to drop out of high school and pursue his dream full-time. In 2007, he opened his first restaurant, Solazo, on the Southwest Side of Chicago.

His second restaurant, La Josie, was established in 2016 in the West Loop. Named after his late aunt, Josefina, it serves as a tribute to his family, who have played a significant role in his success. Barajas' restaurants are renowned for their authentic flavors, a testament to his family's recipes that have been passed down through generations.

With two thriving restaurants already under his belt, Chef Pepe Barajas is poised to make his mark on the Pilsen neighborhood with his third establishment.
