Cars 🚗 On Avito Auto

A study by Avito Auto revealed that LADA, Chery, HAVAL, and Changan are the coolest cars right now in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Things are heating up in the auto market, with a impressive 30.4% surge in interest for new cars in April, compared to the same month last year.

So, how much can you spend on a new ride? About 2.83 million rubles, on average.

When it comes to the most popular brands, LADA is ruling the road, accounting for a whopping 28.3% of the interest. Chery comes in second with 16%, followed by HAVAL at 12.9%, and Changan at 3.7%.

But what about the models? You guessed it – the LADA Granta takes the checkered flag, followed closely by the HAVAL Jolion, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, and LADA Vesta and Vesta Cross.

Artem Khomutinnikov, head of sales for the "New Cars" department at Avito, shared his thoughts: "The ongoing interest in LADA cars isn't a shock – the release of models like the LADA Iskra serves as gasoline for the brand's popularity."

But what's going on in the broader automotive world? The Russian car industry has been a mixed bag. In the first quarter of 2025, passenger car production bumped up by 7.1%, resulting in 176k units produced. Meanwhile, truck production took a dive, declining by 15.6% during the same period[1].

There's also a growing buzz around electric vehicles, as Russia prepares for the rollout of the Atom electric car in several major cities, including Nizhny Novgorod by 2026[3]. Although this may not impact Avito's listings or trends right away, it's an exciting development to watch!

Keep your wheels turning and your eyes peeled for updates on the auto industry – the race is on! 🏎️🏁🚀

The growing interest in new cars and the impressive surge in April indicate a significant boom in the finance and business sectors, particularly within the auto industry. While LADA continues to dominate the market in the Nizhny Novgorod region, there's a buzz around electric vehicles like the Atom, anticipated to hit the road in several cities by 2026, potentially reshaping the broader automotive finance landscape.
