Bullish on Sin City: Caesars' Bright Future in Vegas
Caesars to Pump Almost $1 Billion into Eight of Its Las Vegas Boulevard Hotels
Get ready for a glitzy makeover in Las Vegas as Caesars Entertainment, one of the iconic names in casino and entertainment, is pouring a whopping $1 billion into its properties amid economic turbulence and global uncertainty.
"We’re all-in on Vegas"
Despite President Trump's early actions potentially disrupting the global economy and economic challenges, Caesars Entertainment's decision to invest heavily, demonstrates confidence in Vegas' resilience and prosperity. The Reno-based titan is not just talking the talk, but walking the walk, aiming to spend $1 billion in the post-pandemic era.
The ambitious revitalization of all eight Caesars Strip properties includes casino refurbishments, upgrading rooms, leisure facilities, and even historical hotel renovations. The largest investment has been allocated to Caesars' flagship casino hotel.
According to Sean McBurney, Caesars Entertainment's Las Vegas Regional President, work on transforming Caesars Palace began "immediately post-COVID."
Royally Reserved for Elite
A major part of the post-COVID renovation of the 58-year-old casino hotel includes upgrades to the Palace's main entrance, casino dome, and hotel lobby. McBurney highlighted that Caesars Palace, with its luxurious yet accessible feel, caters to a wide demographic, evidenced by the recent additions of Aureus Lounge and Palace Court high-limit gaming rooms offering catering services.
McBurney also hinted at the launch of a new poker room at Caesars Palace "before the World Series of Poker commences" in the late spring.
Caesars is also thrilled about adding three new restaurants to the Flamingo, as well as a $20 million facelift for its pool area. The $100 million makeover that turned the Jubilee Tower at Bally's into the Versailles Tower at Paris Las Vegas has been a big win for Caesars with its balcony rooms offering stunning Strip views. McBurney enthusiastically declared that the transformation of Bally's tower to the Versailles Tower has been a "home run."
Sports: The Game Changer
Like many gaming executives in Las Vegas, McBurney is convinced that the city's shift towards sports has been phenomenal, boosting the appeal of Sin City for both local and international visitors.
"Sports has given us a powerful reason for our customers from across the country and around the globe to visit Las Vegas," McBurney stated.
Recent reports suggest that the NFL was so impressed with Vegas' hosting of last year's football extravaganza that it is eyeing Sin City as the host of 2029's Super Bowl LXIII.
