BPCL's MAK Lubricants Launches Nationwide Radio Campaign to Honor its Mechanic Community

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and one of India's leading oil and gas companies, has launched a unique initiative to recognise the hard work and dedication of automobile mechanics. The nationwide radio campaign, titled "Thank you, Mechanics - for Safe and Smooth Journeys," is being carried out under BPCL's lubricants brand, MAK Lubricants.

The campaign aims to honour mechanics who play a crucial role in ensuring road safety. It reflects BPCL's commitment to recognising unsung heroes who contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our transportation system. MAK Lubricants, a global brand of BPCL, commands an enviable presence in the automobile and industrial lubricant sector in India and has a growing footprint in overseas markets.

The radio campaign is being aired on 13 leading radio stations across 116 cities in India. Over 18,000 spots will be aired, delivering over 16 lakh seconds of airtime. The campaign includes radio interviews with over 1,000 mechanics, live, on-air interactions at more than 200 transport hubs, and meet-and-greet sessions for more than 5,000 mechanics.

The cricketing legend Rahul Dravid is the brand ambassador for MAK Lubricants and will feature in specially created audio jingles in 13 languages. The radio campaign is part of BPCL's strategy to move towards a sustainable planet. Electric vehicle charging stations are being integrated into BPCL's distribution network of over 23,500 fuel stations, over 6,200 LPG distributorships, and 500+ Lubes distributorships.

BPCL's refineries have a combined refining capacity of around 35.3 MMTPA. The company's core purpose is 'Energising Lives' and its vision is to be an admired global energy company leveraging talent, innovation, and technology. BPCL is developing an ecosystem and a road-map to become a Net Zero Energy Company by 2040, in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

MAK Lubricants offers over 400 grades of lubricants for a wide spectrum of applications. The company has been partnering communities by supporting several initiatives in the areas of education, water conservation, skill development, health, community development, capacity building, and employee volunteering.
