Biamp's Vocia Unifies Audio at Perth Airport Terminal 2
Biamp's innovative Vocia unified audio platform has been installed at Perth Airport Terminal 2, integrating emergency messaging, public address, and background music into a single, streamlined system. The installation was commended by Niclas Brattberg, Biamp's general manager, and praised by Andrew Anderson-King, sales director at Integrate Perth, the company that carried out the work.
Traditionally, emergency warning intercom systems (EWIS) and public address systems have been separate, leading to redundancy and poor-quality background music over emergency loudspeakers. Biamp's Vocia platform solves these issues by combining these functions on a single platform. The system, installed by Redflex, supports zone paging and high intelligibility for both emergency alerts and routine announcements.
The Vocia MS1 message server is included in the system, enabling remote scheduling and monitoring of announcements. This integration is designed to streamline operations and reduce redundancy, as commended by Brattberg. Anderson-King also praised the platform's decentralised design and compliance with emergency warning standards.
Perth Airport Terminal 2 has benefited from the installation of Biamp's Vocia unified audio platform, which integrates emergency messaging, public address, and background music into a single system. This innovative solution, installed by Integrate Perth, is expected to improve efficiency and passenger safety at the terminal.
