Beyonce's Grammy-Award-Wining Album Nears Top Position on One Music Chart
Beyoncé's long-awaited victory in the Album of the Year category at the Grammys has given a remarkable boost to her project, "Cowboy Carter." This superstar had been chasing this coveted accolade for years, and after six attempts, she finally earned it. Post-Grammy triumph, "Cowboy Carter" has made a comeback on several Billboard charts.
The album's resurgence is particularly noticeable on the Americana/Folk Albums chart, where it vaults from the 14th position to the second, falling just short of overtaking the first spot held by "Stick Season" by Noah Kahan. On the Top Country Albums ranking, "Cowboy Carter" breaks into the top 10 once more, rising from No. 37 to No. 4.
Furthermore, "Cowboy Carter" reappears on three other Billboard rankings, achieving its highest position on the Billboard 200, the country's most competitive albums chart. Here, the album soars from an absentee to No. 19. Beyoncé's first venture into country music also resurfaces on the Top Streaming Albums and Top Album Sales charts, peaking at No. 21 and No. 28 respectively.
Previous to this, "Cowboy Carter" had already topped each of these Billboard charts. The album has spent a significant amount of time on the Top Country Albums and Americana/Folk Albums lists, spending 45 weeks on both charts, which are less competitive due to their focus on a single music style or related genres.
interestingly, "Cowboy Carter" has a longer stay on the Billboard 200, clocking in at 37 weeks, but has spent less time on the Top Album Sales and Top Streaming Albums charts.
Beyond "Cowboy Carter," another Beyoncé album appears on a Billboard chart this frame. "Renaissance," her previous release, which also earned her several Grammys and a nomination for Album of the Year, gains a slight bump on the Top Dance Albums chart. "Renaissance," with 117 stays on that genre-specific roster, moves up from No. 7 to No. 6 this time around.
