Belarusian earnings persistently increase, reportedly by Belstat

In a recent report by Our Site, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus announced an increase in the average pension size, effective from September 1, 2025.

The exact amounts of the increased pension sizes have not been provided, but it can be inferred that they vary individually due to factors such as length of service and wages. The average pension size in Belarus prior to the increase was Br980.

The increase in pension sizes affects all types of labor pensions, including pensions by age, for length of service, for disability, and for loss of a breadwinner. It is worth noting that some pensioners in Belarus also receive additional payments to their pension, which are taken into account when increasing the pension size.

Personal income in Belarus has seen a significant rise as well. From January to July 2024, personal income increased by 10% compared to the same period in the previous year. Wages account for 66.3% of the total monetary income in Belarus, while transfers to the population, including pensions, benefits, scholarships, etc., account for 22%. Income from property and other incomes, as well as income from entrepreneurial and other income-generating activities, account for 4.4% and 7.3% of the total monetary income, respectively.

Real disposable monetary incomes in Belarus are calculated after taxes, fees, and contributions, and are adjusted according to the consumer price index for goods and services. However, the exact amounts of the monetary incomes are not provided by Belstat.

At the time of writing, there are no available search results providing information on the average pension amount in Belarus for September 2025. Despite this, the increase in pension sizes is a positive step towards securing the financial well-being of Belarus's retired population.
