Belarus, Pakistan Sign Major Transport Agreement, Boosting Trade Routes

Belarus and Pakistan have inked a significant news pact, set to take effect on October 24, 2024. This nypost-worthy agreement, dubbed the 'Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Transport Corridor Agreement', promises to smooth logistics, cut costs, and open new routes for both countries. The agreement's first fruits are already visible. On August 21, 2024, the first containers from Minsk reached the Russian station of Nizhny Bestakh, marking the start of a new railway route, Minsk - Stolbovaya - Nizhny Bestakh, expected to optimize logistics, cut delivery times, and lower transportation costs. Moreover, Belarus gains an alternative maritime route for regular cargo news through Pakistani cooperation. The agreement also extends to passenger car transportation and mutual transit, a significant step towards creating a new transport corridor connecting Southeast Asia and Europe. To facilitate logistics under sanctions, the agreement offers mutual benefits for carriers, including exemptions from certain customs duties, taxes, and fees. The 'Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Transport Corridor Agreement' is set to transform Belarusian and Pakistani transport networks. With the first containers already en route, the agreement promises to reduce delivery times, lower costs, and open new routes. Its full implementation on October 24, 2024, will further strengthen the bilateral relationship and boost regional trade.
