Bad Salzuflen Inspection Uncovers Major ID Document Issues
A joint inspection operation in Bad Salzuflen on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, uncovered significant issues with employee identification documents. The operation, a collaboration between Bielefeld Customs Office's Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS), Lippe County Police Department, and Bad Salzuflen's Ordnungsamt, targeted black work, illegal employment, and safety regulations.
Sascha Gawenda, assigned to the Bielefeld Customs Office, led the inspection focusing on combating black work, illegal employment, workplace safety, and public safety and order. During the operation, 17 employees were questioned about their employment conditions.
The inspection revealed fundamental problems with the identification documents of several employees. Four employees' residence status could not be determined on site and were handed over to the immigration authority for further clarification. The Ordnungsamt also ensured the sufficient securing of inspected construction sites, contributing to the overall success of the operation. Future joint inspection operations will continue to target these issues in Bad Salzuflen.
