Authorities Seize €165,000 in Cash From Entrepreneur's Apartment

Authorities have seized approximately €165,000 in cash from an entrepreneur's apartment in the Ingolstadt area. The entrepreneur, active in drywall and interior construction, had been operating despite a business ban. The Main Customs Office Augsburg's Financial Control Black Work unit conducted the raid.

The entrepreneur had not paid any taxes, invoices, or health insurance contributions, leading to damages exceeding €80,000. During the raid, the suspect could not provide evidence for the origin of the seized cash. The entrepreneur's continued operation of the business despite the ban may result in severe legal consequences. Financial Control Black Work teams specialise in combating tax evasion and illegal activities, often conducting unannounced inspections to uncover such offences.

The seized cash, approximately €165,000, suggests potential illegal earnings. The entrepreneur's failure to provide evidence for its origin and the outstanding payments further strengthen suspicions of tax evasion and unregistered work. The case is now under investigation by the Main Customs Office Augsburg.
