The Austrotherm Group, a leading insulation pioneer with operations spanning 13 countries, has announced its strategic acquisition of Italian EPS (expanded polystyrene) producer Gruppo Poron. This move is aimed at expanding Austrotherm’s market presence and product portfolio in Southern Europe.
Gruppo Poron, a well-established player in the Italian EPS market, operates eight production sites nationwide and employs around 170 people. The purchase price of the acquisition remains confidential.

The established brand name "Poron" will be retained after the acquisition. The management of Gruppo Poron will continue to be led by the Ceru family.
