Unleashing Nascala Coast: Megaworld's Magnificent Masterpiece in Batangas

The property titan, Megaworld - an Alliance Global venture led by billionaire Andrew Tan - is lavishing extra love on its tourism ventures. This time, it's crafting a spectacular leisure complex named Nascala Coast in the heart of Batangas province, south of Manila.

Prepare to be captivated! Megaworld has pledged a whopping 5 billion pesos ($113 million) over the coming five years to transform a 116-hectare beachfront property into an integrated residential, leisure, tourism, and commercial township.

Nestled amid the coastal town of Nasugbu, renowned for its scenic beaches and mountains, Nascala Coast promises to be a dreamy tourism and leisure haven for outdoor enthusiasts, thanks to its proximity to Manila, around 88 kilometers away.

"More than a mere destination, Nascala Coast is envisioned to be a thriving coastal address where nature's beauty and generational prosperity harmoniously blend," asserts Monica T. Salomon, president of Global Estate Resorts Inc, a Megaworld unit.

Nascala Coast will be Megaworld's 36th township and its fourth in Batangas. This exclusive address will join Megaworld's impressive leisure estates portfolio in Batangas, including the 1,200-hectare Twin Lakes Vineyard township that overlooks the majestic Taal Lake and Volcano, the luxurious San Benito Private Estate, the Lialto Beach and Golf Estates, and more. Two-thirds of Megaworld's townships are strategically situated in areas outside of Metro Manila, such as Bacolod, Boracay, Cebu, and Ilocos.

Out of its 59 billion peso investment budget this year, Alliance Global will allocate 55 billion pesos towards projects like hotels, townships, offices, malls, convention centers, and residential towers.

To cement its position as one of the country's biggest hospitality groups, Megaworld teamed up with French hotel chain Accor recently to rebrand its Belmont Hotel Mactan in central Philippines into Mercure Mactan Cebu. With seven home-grown hotel brands and 13 properties possessing 7,000 rooms, Megaworld aims to expand its hotel room portfolio to 9,000 by opening seven more hotels in the next three years.

Besides Megaworld, Andrew Tan's diversified interests include Emperador - the world's biggest brandy maker, the Philippine franchisee of McDonald's, and a casino resort. Tan currently boasts a net worth of about $2.4 billion, making him the fourth-richest Philippine tycoon, according to Forbes' real-time data.
