ANA's SeeHer Initiative Surpasses 2020 Target, Aims for 80% Unbiased Media by 2030
The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) launched its SeeHer initiative in 2016 to enhance the portrayal of women in media. The initial goal was to achieve a 20% increase in accurate representation by 2020. In late 2018, the initiative surpassed its 2020 target. Since 2019, SeeHer has aimed for an 80% unbiased media environment by 2030. To achieve this, the initiative provides toolkits to assess creative content for unconscious bias in advertisements. The ANA's SeeHer initiative has made significant strides in improving women's representation in media. It continues to work towards a more balanced and unbiased media landscape by 2030.
