Amundi and CFM introduce a multi-strategy fund focused on generating positive returns in any market condition
Amundi and Capital Fund Management Launch Multi-Strategy Absolute Return Ucits Fund
Paris-based asset managers Amundi and Capital Fund Management (CFM) have joined forces to launch a new multi-strategy absolute return Ucits fund. This partnership is seen as a valuable addition to Amundi's platform, providing another differentiated investment opportunity.
The Cumulus strategy, which is at the heart of this fund, sources alpha with low correlation to traditional markets. The strategies used in the fund are a mix of relative value and directional strategies on futures and equities. The fund's investment process is quantitative and systematic, employing a diverse set of strategies across asset classes to capture alpha through various sources.
One of CFM's flagship multi-strategy programs is implemented in the fund. This program uses a range of proprietary techniques, including machine learning and portfolio construction methods. The Cumulus strategy combines CFM's quantitative and systematic approach with Amundi's operational platform and extensive reach.
Lionel Paquin, the Deputy Head of Amundi Alternative and Real Assets, is involved in launching this fund and managing Amundi’s alternative investment platforms focused on private and real assets as well as hedge funds. Philippe Jordan, President of CFM, has partnered with Amundi to make the Cumulus strategy available to Ucits investors.
Lionel Paquin expresses his excitement about the partnership with CFM, stating that it underscores Amundi's track record in carefully selecting and bringing best-in-class strategies and managers to its clients. The fund aims to deliver absolute return with low correlation to traditional and alternative markets.
The fund is available on the Amundi Alternative Ucits Platform for eligible professional clients. However, it is important to note that this article is not an advertisement for the fund. The partnership between Amundi and CFM is not repeated from any prior context. The Cumulus strategy aims to deliver returns with low correlation to traditional markets, providing another valuable addition to Amundi's platform.
