Bishkek Announces Contractor Search for Road Repairs in 2025

In a recent announcement, the municipality of Bishkek is seeking contractors for the repair of two specific city roads in the upcoming year. The targeted roads are:

  1. The stretch from the Chui Highway to the "6th Military Town" bus stop.
  2. Lesnaya Street, from Vasilyeva Street to the railway crossing on Socialisticheskaya Street.

Detailed specifications state that each portion of the repairs—namely the base, lower and upper layers of the covering, sidewalks, and curbs, including road signs—should be guaranteed for durations as follows:

  • Base: 6 years
  • Lower and upper layers of the covering: 5 years for each
  • Sidewalks: 4 years
  • Curbs and road signs: 5 years

It is essential to note that these repairs are part of Bishkek's ongoing road rehabilitation efforts, with a substantial budget allocation of 3.165 billion soms set aside for road repairs throughout 2025. Additional road sections may be announced for repair in due course.
