Aldi Closes Online Shop Amidst Discounted Offers

Aldi, the popular discount supermarket chain, has announced the closure of its online shop as part of a strategic decision to optimize resources and focus on its core business operations. The online shop is set to close on September 30th, 2022.

The decision to close the online shop was due to its poor performance and significant logistical challenges. Aldi's in-store format, which emphasizes low prices and convenience, has proven to be more successful.

Despite the closure, Aldi is offering attractive discounts in various categories, including technology, lighting, furniture, kitchenware, DIY, garden, and sports. Some of the notable offers include:

  • Up to 45% off on various items, including promotions like up to 40% off during sale events.
  • $15 off the first order for new customers.
  • Special pricing on specific products, such as energy-saving curtains starting at $7.99.
  • New customers can get a $25 discount off a purchase of $75 or more within seven days of accepting the offer and also $10 off when signing up for the newsletter.
  • Free delivery on the first three orders with a minimum purchase amount.

These discounts are only available while stocks last and only until September 30th. Some of the discounted items include a high-quality, 13-piece cookware set now available for 64.99 euros instead of 189 euros, a mini cross-trainer for 44.99 euros instead of 99 euros, and a Scheppach benzine chainsaw including ear protection and safety glasses for 99.99 euros instead of 399 euros.

Aldi's non-food items, such as the two-piece hard-shell suitcase set "Biz" currently available for 99.99 euros instead of 269 euros, and the A Philips Kaffeevollautomat EP1220/00 available for 249 euros instead of 499.99 euros, have been well-received by consumers.

Meanwhile, Aldi's supermarket branches continue to thrive, with strong e-bike discounts causing a stir, such as a Fischer e-bike "Montis" with 36 volts available for 1,399 euros instead of 2,899 euros.

As Aldi's online shop prepares to close, it is advisable for customers to check Aldi's official website or app close to the closure date for any updated or final clearance offers associated with the online store shutdown.
